(C) 2015 Temple Invisible. ——— "Everything From Above" [Lyrics] See everything from above Feel being made out of love All that we are or seem Is a dream within a dream I am what I am I am the life to sustain All that we are or seem Is a dream within a dream Infinite has no direction Being is only intention All that we are or seem Is a dream within a dream Strangle my wishes to death Offer my ego to Seth All that we are or seem Is a dream within a dream
Background
When asked to do a music video for the Romanian band Temple Invisible, it didn’t take long for me to decide. The mix of smooth electronic riffs and jazzy vocals really resonated with me and I got really excited to create something unique. I went through some material I’d never used before, and created some new fractals as well.
To me, the song captures timelessness and infinity, and I had this great timelapsy fractal. It’s really just a very fast changing fractal formula, but when played real-time it really seems like we’re going through millennia of geologic erosion. Also I thought it was cool to give this a reduced color palette. Even though the cloud scene was originally meant to be more realistic, I felt it worked better when it feels very heavy with dark colors.
