03 - Virtual Reality
Recombination in VR
Recombination is the latest project from visionary fractal artist Julius Horsthuis. Realizing that the best way to enjoy his work is immersion, he collaborated with seven of his favorite musicians in order to create an abstract journey through music, space and mathematics.
04 - Adaptations
The same work in different rooms
Foreign Nature has been staged in a black-box museum, a nineteenth-century foundry, a Second World War submarine base and a former gasworks. Working from each venue's plan, the picture is re-rendered to that geometry and the score re-mixed for its speakers.
